Terms of Service
Last updated: April 21, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using QRchive (“the Service”), operated by Pacific Rim Wastewater Solutions Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
QRchive provides physical QR code stickers that link to private cloud storage folders. The service is designed for trades professionals (septic, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression) to attach permanent documentation to equipment installations. Anyone who scans the QR code can view the stored documents without an account.
3. Account Registration
To use QRchive as an installer, you must create an account using a valid email address. We use passwordless magic-link authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account, as it serves as the sole authentication method for accessing your QRchive dashboard.
4. QR Code Activation & Pricing
QR codes must be activated with a one-time $49 CAD payment before they can be used. Each activated QR code includes 1 GB of document storage, with optional paid upgrades available. All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Payments are non-refundable once a QR code has been activated and documents have been uploaded.
Refund requests for unused, activated QR codes may be considered on a case-by-case basis within 30 days of activation. Contact support@qrchive.ca for refund inquiries.
5. Storage Guarantee
Each activated QR code includes a minimum 10-year storage guarantee from the date of activation. During this period, we commit to maintaining access to your stored documents. After the guarantee period, we will make reasonable efforts to continue hosting your data or provide adequate notice and export options if the service is to be discontinued.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use QRchive to:
Store illegal, harmful, or malicious content. Upload files that contain viruses or malware. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data. Use the service for purposes other than legitimate documentation storage. Exceed the storage limits of your selected tier. Resell or redistribute QR codes without authorization.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all documents and files you upload to QRchive. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process (including AI classification), and serve your files as necessary to operate the service. We will not sell, share, or use your content for purposes unrelated to providing the QRchive service.
8. Public Access via QR Scan
By design, anyone who scans a QRchive QR code can view the documents in that folder without authentication. You are responsible for ensuring that you only upload documents that are appropriate for the intended audience (e.g., homeowners, inspectors, future service technicians). Do not upload sensitive personal information, financial records, or confidential business documents to QRchive folders unless you intend for them to be publicly accessible via QR scan.
9. Replacement Stickers
If a QR code sticker becomes damaged or needs replacement, you can order a replacement sticker through the dashboard. Replacement stickers link to the same folder and documents as the original. Replacement sticker pricing is separate from the original activation fee.
10. Affiliate Program
Any active QRchive account may order a sticker roll and become an affiliate partner once the order ships. Affiliates earn a flat commission (currently $5 CAD per activation, subject to rate adjustment on a going-forward basis) every time a QR code from a roll they ordered is activated by an end customer. The rate recorded on each activation is the rate in effect at the moment of activation; subsequent rate changes do not retroactively alter previously-earned commissions.
Payout minimum and cadence. Payouts are on-demand and are not on a quarterly schedule. You may request a payout from the affiliate Earnings page at any time your available balance clears the $100 CAD minimum. Requests below the minimum cannot be processed. We typically process requests within 5–7 business days; payments are sent by Interac e-Transfer to the e-transfer email you configure under Payout settings.
Your responsibility for the e-transfer email. You are responsible for keeping your configured e-transfer email accurate and for ensuring the receiving account accepts Interac e-Transfers. If a transfer bounces due to an incorrect or unreachable email, the payout amount is returned to your available balance and the request is marked for re-issue. You can update your e-transfer email at any time from the Earnings page.
Holds, clawbacks, and activation integrity. A commission is earned when a legitimate end customer activates a QR code. We reserve the right to withhold, reverse, or clawback commissions associated with activations we determine, in good faith, to be fraudulent, self-dealing, duplicate, test, or otherwise not reflective of a genuine end-customer activation. Accrued balance also includes a 30-day hold window to cover refunds and chargebacks on the underlying $49 activation payment — funds move from pending to available once the hold window has passed.
Tax reporting. You are solely responsible for reporting affiliate income on your own tax returns. For Canadian non-incorporated individuals, we may be required to issue a T4A if your annual payouts exceed the CRA threshold; you agree to provide such information as we reasonably request to meet our reporting obligations.
Program changes and termination. We may change commission rates, payout minimums, processing cadence, or other program mechanics on a going-forward basis with reasonable notice. We may suspend or terminate an affiliate account for breach of these terms, fraudulent activity, or extended inactivity — any balance earned in good faith prior to termination and clearing the $100 CAD minimum will still be paid.
11. Limitation of Liability
QRchive is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or equipment damage. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the affected QR code activation.
12. Data Export
You may export all your data at any time from the Settings page in your dashboard. Exports are provided as ZIP files containing all your uploaded documents and associated metadata. We recommend maintaining your own backups of critical installation documentation.
13. Modifications to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of QRchive shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
